FOR PC USERS
Navigation:
1) JAVA Applet loading
Please wait for JAVA Applet to load, untilor
can be seen, usually a few seconds.
2) To start reading
Click on cover image or Chapter Heading or, or
3) To turn pages
To go to the next page - Click on any part of the right hand page or
To go to the previous page - Click on any part of the left hand page or
To go to the end of the book - Click on
To go all the way back to the front of the book - Click on
To go to a specific page - Enter the page number in the box below and hit "Enter"key or
To go to a specific chapter/section (only for the documents with this feature) - Click on.This will bring up the table of contents box and click on the chapter/section of your choice
4) Viewing Enlarged Images:
To enlarge a two-page spread, press . This will create an enlarged image.
5) Printing a page:
If you can see on the navigational bar, you can print the displayed pages by clicking on it. You will be asked to choose Left side page or Right side page to print out. Once you select one, another browser window with the selected page will be displayed and the printer control box will be displayed also. Click,"OK" to print.
Use the navigation bar at the bottom of the box to move the enlarged two-page spread right or left. Note, In order to continue turning pages, you may want to close this box by clickingin the upper right hand corner, or minimize by clickingin the upper right hand corner. If you turn pages without closing the enlarged image box, it will close automatically. The basic sequence for page turning and enlargement: Turn page---enlarge page--view or read enlarged page---(close or minimize)--turn smaller two page spread again to next page.
Operating Environment:
1) Recommended Browsers
    Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
Netscape Communicator 4.7 or later
2) Java Scrip and Java Applet enabled
    It usually is a browser's default setting. If you are not sure, please consult with
your Browser's manual or your system administrator.
3) Cookie enabled
    Depending on the RealRead service, Cookie feature is required. This should be a
part of the browser's default setting.
4) Hardware requirements
    Memory Requirement: 64MB or more
If your monitor's resolution setting is 800x600 pixels or less, some of the documents may not be displayed in the 2 page spread mode. 1024x768 pixels or higher is recommended. To check this, go to your "Control Panel" then "Monitor" then "Setting"

FOR MAC USERS

When your Mac's memory is something close to 64MB and the browser is Internet Explorer 5.1 or older, if you allocate too large a section of the memory to the browser, you may not have enough memory for the JAVA Applet. We suggest resetting the memory allocation back to the initial setting (Minimum Size: 8912 (KB), Preferred Size: 10240 (KB))
